“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”
John 7:37-38
Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from John 7:37 On the last day of Feast of Tabernacles Jesus releases a prophecy concerning a divine release of the Holy Spirit coming to the last days. This relase of the Holy Spirit would come from the body of Christ after the Holy Spirit would be given on the day of Pentecost. I believe this prophecy is for NOW! I...

Shout for joy, daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, Israel! Rejoice and triumph with all your heart, Daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You will no longer fear disaster. On that day it will be said to Jerusalem: “Do not be afraid, Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp. The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. I will gather those who...
Here are just a few things we've already learned the sounding of the shofar represents: 1) Return — We are putting God back on the throne! 2) An Alarm — God is awakening us from our spiritual slumber! 3) Rededication — We revitalize our commitment to God’s Word! 4) Hearing God’s Voice — He calls us to His wisdom and knowledge! 5) Sacrifice — Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac but God provided a ram! 6) Victory — A Reminder of God’s salvation and deliverance! 7) A Call for Unity — Under the Messiah, Jew and Gentile shall be one! 8) The Shout — Proclaiming Jesus will return with an eternal reward!

What you’re learning about during this Solemn Assembly is supernatural. It’s revelation that can make the difference between winning and losing. The shofar is God’s mighty trumpet and is the sound of victory over sin, sickness, poverty and anything else that might be trying to block your blessing! As I said yesterday, this is an appointed time for sowing and reaping. It’s the season of the final of our three First Fruit offerings on Sukkot. Joel 2:23-24 directly connects this “due season” with both the early and latter rain. So, if we’ll arise with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication, and respond with our first fruits offering we can expect an abundant outpouring of blessing in our lives.

The traditional blessing as you blow the shofar is, "Blessed are You oh Lord …who commanded us to hear the voice of the shofar." Notice it’s not ‘who commanded us to blow the shofar.’ The heart of this teaching, is the blessing comes when we hear the sound of the shofar and it resonates in us. This will reconnect us spiritually to everything God is saying and calling us to do.
God has ascended on high with a shout, the Lord has ascended with the blast of a trumpet. Sing songs to God! Sing songs! Sing songs to our King! Sing songs! Psalm 47: 5-6 International Standard Version

The Lord designates this as a “due season” of judgment and reward. The daily blowing of the shofar represents God’s alarm clock to wake us up from any spiritual sleep or slumber. In His great love and mercy He sounds an alarm so we are not caught unaware and miss the abundant blessing about to happen. One of the traditional sounds is 9 quick blasts in short succession (Teruah) -- which resembles an alarm.
All you who inhabit the world, and live on earth, As soon as a flag is raised on the mountains, you will see it, And as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it. For this is what the Lord has told me: “I will quietly look from My dwelling place Like dazzling heat in the sunshine, Like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”
Isaiah 18:3-4
