This is also an appointed time for sowing and reaping. It’s the season of the final of our three First Fruit offerings on Sukkot. Joel 2:23-24 directly connects this “due season” with both the early and latter rain. So, if we’ll arise with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication, and respond with our first fruits offering we can expect an abundant outpouring of blessing in our lives.
“So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.”

Todays blowing of the Shofar comes from Joshua 6:20. And Today when we hear the sound of the Shofar we will see the walls surrounding our promised cities come down....
The Bible teaches that the shofar is the trumpet of God. The blowing of the shofar is still meant to serve important biblical purposes including; the sound for war, the announcing of the coronation of the King and announcing the fall season of Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. But in addition to all that the trumpet is for gathering us together to one another.
And I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall far from one another. At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, assemble to us there. Our God will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:19-20 NASB2020
Today is a day of gathering together to one another. With the blowing of the shofar of day 6 God wants to gather us together INTO UNITY. As Nehemiah said in chapter 4, the work is too great and extentsive and we are separated...
