Day 2 Devotion - THE UNDERSTANDING HEART- DISCERNING HOW TO RETURN TO THE LORD
This morning in our Facebook Live prayer time...the Holy Spirit revealed step 2 of how we return to him from Malachi 3:7, 8
“From the days of your fathers you have turned away from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ “Would anyone rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:7-8
He's telling us to return to Him in how we honor Him with our offerings and how to approach the altars of God. Malachi 1:6
“ ‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a father, where is My honor? Malachi 1:6-7
In Day 1 the Spirit of God directed us to return to Him from Joel 2:12 through Solemn Assemblies of Prayer; with Fasting, with (rending your heart) Repentance, weeping and mourning.
Today the Lord is saying return to Him with pure offerings, so that there may be meat in His house, and He gives 5 things He will do when we return in verse 10-13
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that
- there may be food (REVELATION) in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies,
- “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing (FATHERS BLESSING SPOKEN OVER US) until it overflows.
- Then I will rebuke the devourer (COVID19) for you, so that it will not destroy the fruit of your ground;
- nor will the vine in the field prove fruitless to you,” (MINISTRY) says the Lord of armies.
- “All the nations will call you blessed(WEALTH), for you will be a delightful land,” says the Lord of armies. Malachi 3:10-12 NASB
We have come to our SEASON TO RETURN. The Alarm is being sounded and the season is being shifted into the DAY OF THE LORD. A DAY OF JUDGMENT but also of GREAT REVIVAL POWER. Which side we're on will be determined by how we respond to his ALARM in the season of His return.
Monday evening at sunset begins the Hebrew NEW YEAR 5782, a holy day we call in Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah and is referred to in English, as the Feast of Trumpets. In the Bible we see that God announces His Kingdom with the blowing of Trumpets.
Be ready! We are living in the times that are immediately preceding His return....So we are returning before His return that we may be one with Him and receive from Him in the day of His return.
