As we enter into one of the most severe, significant times in a generation, I believe it is imperative for God's people to understand the times to know what the church ought to do.
In January during a personal time of prayer, during the week of our January online Solemn Assembly, while reading the word of God, I was taken into a vision and heard the audible voice of God say.... THESE ARE DYING DAYS.
Later that morning, as I was leading a corporate prayer time on Facebook Live, while praying in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit led me to Isaiah 26:20, 21 to pray on that Live.
Isa 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
Joe 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
This blueprint of Solemn Assemblies for the year 2020 was given to me initially in the month of November 2019, as I finished my latest book on Solemn Assemblies of prayer, "When You Pray, Say." This strategy from the book, for Solemn Assemblies of Prayer, and this verse from Isaiah 26:20 in the January Solemn Assembly, for what was coming in the New Year, was given to me as a more specific wisdom as to what was going to be released, and why, in 2020.
I believe God is shaking, Satan is raging, Man is sinning, and the earth is groaning...All at the same time.
We respond to God's shaking by submitting to His leadership...We respond to Satan's rage by resisting Him and this plague to stop it in Jesus Name. We respond to man's sinning by repenting of our sins, and we work and build together where creation's groan has caused destruction.
Yes, I BELIEVE GOD IS ALLOWING THIS PLAGUE TO SHAKE EVERYTHING THAT CAN BE SHAKEN, AND THAT IT IS A SIGN, NOT OF THE END, BUT OF THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS.
I further believe it will reveal the spiritual temperature of the Body worldwide, and where we need to get for what's coming.... (Matthew 24:6-8; Luke 21:11; )
Luk 21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and PLAGUES; and FEAR and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers’ places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
In 2014 I wrote a book from these verses detailing the days we were coming into and the signs of these days called the Beginning of Sorrows.
Many have asked whether this virus is the End Times plagues of the book of the Revelation (7 Bowl, Seal, Trumpet judgments) or a sign of the End? Or are we in the End-times? But this time frame spoken of by Jesus in Luke 21:11 is NOT the End, but it is a time of preparation for the end, called in Matthew 24:6-8, The Beginning of Sorrows or The Beginning of Birth pangs.
Matt 24:6...for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
The beginning of sorrows is a time right before the End....The End time events of the book of the Revelation are the last 7 years of natural human history, but the Beginning of Sorrows signs, of earthquakes famines and Plagues, are a time meant to wake up His people, to a time of repentance. It's a time of God’s dealings with His Bride in the earth, His elect in Jerusalem and the nations, in the generation right before the time of Jacobs’s trouble, known in the New Testament as the Great Tribulation. This is the time right before the coming of the Lord to cause His people to Repent and turn to Him.
The Beginning of Sorrows plagues and signs are a time of repentance, turning the hearts of both the Body of Christ and His elect in Jerusalem and the nations, back to Him, to preserve a remnant that will preach the Gospel of the coming kingdom in the nations of the world (Matt 24:14).
The beginning of Sorrows is not the end, but it’s the time right before the end, that begins the time of revival of His body, the Bride of Christ and the time of national salvation of the nation of Israel, and His elect in the nations of the earth. 2nd Corinthians 7:10 gives us the purpose of Godly sorrow, or sorrow that is God-initiated at this time known as the Beginning of Sorrows.
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Cor. 7:10
The beginning of sorrows is a season of God’s dealings with His people to turn their hearts back to Him, bringing salvation to a generation of His elect that have only known him by the letter of the law, religiously, but not by His spirit. The beginning of Sorrows is a time of release of the spirit of repentance upon His people that will be initiated by His Judgment or by the discipline of His comfort.
Once we see these verses in Matthew 24 through this lens of God’s sorrows, or God’s dealings leading to repentance, we will understand God’s process of preparation of His people to receive national salvation and the return to the city of Jerusalem of their Messiah, Yeshua Hamishiach.
When we think of comfort, we think only of being comforted in our pain or sorrow, but one aspect of the comfort of God speaks of comfort that is a discipline or Judgment to avert further pain, or eternal pain and sorrow.
As a father, whenever I spank or discipline my children, it’s a discipline that is meant to direct them away from future sorrow that could be a lot worse and lasting than the sorrow of the spanking. In this regard, this discipline can be viewed as comfort in the light of its future benefits.
This comfort of God also entails and includes this same discipline that leads us out of the future pain that could be much worse than the present sorrow.
His comfort not only comes to reveal and heal the pain, but to reveal the purpose of the pain.….the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Cor. 1:3).
David says in Psalm 23; Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, THEY COMFORT ME.
The rod of the shepherd is for discipline, and the staff of the shepherd is for directing the sheep away from trouble. During the times called the beginning of sorrows God’s elect will be comforted both by Judgment or discipline, and by divine direction that will lead them in the shadow and the valley of death to their Messiah, Jesus, the Lord our Shepherd.
One aspect of the beginning of sorrows will be a time of God’s dealings with His people to bring light or revelation out of their repentance, bringing hope in the midst of hopelessness, and to bring help in the midst of helplessness, during times of crisis, conflict or war.
In addition, the beginning of sorrows is the time of the raising up of voices of comfort to speak tenderly to Jerusalem (Isa. 40:1, 2), for the time coming, known as Jacobs Trouble, recorded in Jeremiah 30-5-7.
The beginning of sorrows is a time of the raising up of forerunners and prophetic voices to the city of Jerusalem and to the elect scattered in the nations of the world (Matt 24:14). It is a time of preparation of God’s elect for God’s salvation to come out of the Judgment that will come to that city, preparing many to be covered, protected and given refuge in the time of tribulation.
I also believe these are days for Solemn Assemblies of Prayer worldwide, both in person, corporately, in churches, arenas, stadium gatherings AND online gatherings; To PRAY, REPENT AND RELEASE HEALING & REVIVAL INTO THE EARTH.
In my book, Building Cities of Refuge, I share an encounter I had at the Call Prayer Assembly in Detroit in 2011, where God spoke to me in the midst of a 24-hour stadium prayer meeting in Ford Field, the Detroit Lions home field.
God spoke to my heart and said; “Sacred Assemblies, like this 24hr CALL/DETROIT, are going to be God’s prescribed method, to either avert the judgment completely, or lessen it in a geographical region, or prepare a generation to stand without offense in the midst of the economic, environmental, and military crisis that are clearly seen in Joel and passages that clearly articulate the conditions of the end of the age, right before the Rapture of His people.”
Joel 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion; consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly; 16 gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders; gather the children, even nursing infants. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber. 17 Between the vestibule and the altar let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep and say, "Spare your people, O LORD, and make not your heritage a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?'"
In order for the church to come together in solemn assemblies in any city for times of prayer and worship, in times of trouble and shaking, we are going to need to understand Jesus’ prayer in John 17 and we’re going to have to understand how to pray the disciple’s prayer in Matthew 6:10; Luke 11:1-13, both individually and corporately, for one another, with one another.
These two prayers, one prayed by Jesus, and one prayed by those that call themselves disciples of Jesus, are connected together to fulfill God’s will in the earth. One is prayed by Jesus for His disciples, that they would know the Father and His love, and for His disciples to be one with one another, as He is one with the Father in heaven, AND THAT WE WOULD NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE WORLD, BUT THAT WE WOULD BE KEPT FROM THE EVIL (EVIL ONE).
The other, the disciple’s prayer, is prayed by His disciples, taught by Jesus, to answer His prayer for His disciples, to know the Love, preservation and oneness that will be needed to endure the temptations coming at the end of the age.
Below is a prophetic word of the Lord for March, I received on the first day of the March Solemn Assembly
For I’ve brought you here to this month, and I’ve brought you here to this season to bring manifestation to bring expectation and to bring information into your spirit says God. For you’ve been asking me, and you’ve been seeking me, and you’ve been searching for me, and even in this month you will find me says God.
For I will show myself to you, and I will manifest myself to you. And my glory shall be seen upon says God. For these are the days to arise. These are the days for my body to shine. These are the days for my lifting up says God. And the world will know, and the cities will know, and the nations will know that I am alive. And the world will know, and the cities will know, and the nations will know that I am God. And even in this season says, God, I will show my goodness to my people. And I will bring great things, and I will bring terrible things.
For there will be things that you will embrace and there will be things that you must resist says God. And I will cause you to know the difference. And I will cause you to discern my spirit says, God. And you will not follow the voice of any other. For you will follow my voice says God, and you will be led by my spirit says, God. And my people will know me says God. And my people will understand me says God. And your eyes will see me, and your ears will hear me, and your heart will sense me, says God.
For I will place in you a new heart, and I will give to you a renewed mind. And you will pursue with all of my heart, says God. And you will pursue with all my mind, says God. And even in this time, no weapon formed against you will prosper. Because you are in me and I am in you, no plague shall come nigh your dwelling. And I will touch even in your home and I will cover, and I will protect, and I will guard, says God. And I will guide says God. And you will arise in me and you will know that not none, no not one, has been good, but you will know my goodness, and you will see it, says God. And you will know it.
So, know this says God, manifestation shall be your portion this month. Know this, you will understand my miracles this month. I will do it. For I will hear you, and I will answer you this month. I will do it and I will bring forth everything that I have declared, and I will bring forth everything you have decreed. So, know I am in this month, and this month is in me. And I shall cause you to march around every obstacle and watch it fall.
Every circumstance and situation that is not of me, I will cause you to march around it in the month of march and watch it collapse, says God. For these are the days of marching in me. These are the days of wherever the soles of your feet shall tread you shall receive, says God. And you shall know that I have given you the victory. And you shall know that I have given you authority. And the plague shall be stopped, says God.
The plague shall be stopped, even in this month says God. It shall be stopped, and it will be no more. So, don’t be afraid, don’t be fearful. Hide yourself in me… come to me says God, and I will cover you and I will protect you, and I will guard, and I will guide. Come to Me says God, and I will be all that I've called you to be, in My name, in My son, in this month, says the living God.
